After a few weeks of vaca from blogging - I'm Back!! I hope all of you are excited! It's been a busy few weeks so there is a lot to write about, but first I must make my argument (excuses) for not blogging recently.
I found that writing a post after 2 weeks of not writing is quite daunting....very similar to trying to go to the gym for the first time after a few weeks of slacking...or getting back to healthy eating after indulging during the Holidays...or basically doing anything good for you after a few weeks of a break. Yes - I am comparing blogging to beneficial activities such as exercising and eating healthy. Why? Well simply because it is a really good thing for me to blog. It is my little hobby up here in Boston.
And on a side note - it is very hard for women in general to have hobbies just for themselves. We usually make our hobbies benefit/include others (ie. cooking, sewing, shopping....women typically think of others while doing their hobbies) - for those women that have found a hobby just for themselves...Congrats!! Guys on the other hand can easily have multiple selfish individual hobbies (ie golf, poker, hunting....join them if you want - but they could really care less - they are going no matter what). Anywho - back to this post.
I write my blogs knowing a few people will read it - but I really just write it for myself (okkkk AND my family/friends - I just can't have a hobby entirely for myself - how do men do it!?!? - it doesn't seem like very much fun). But for the MOST part - it really does just benefit me....BostonBelle reminds me of all that I do/experience - and how much I have to be thankful for - sounds cheesy I know, but it's true!
So now that I have argued that blogging is beneficial - and that it is just as hard to start back as it is to get off the couch and going back to the gym or eating a salad over a burger - I am back. However, like most things - I am going to ease my way into it - I am just going to write a simple post - updating you on a little bit of everything. Think of it as going to the gym, but just for a yoga class (hey you went right?) or ordering a side salad, instead of fries (small sacrifices still count!). Instead of picking one topic to write about and editing all the pictures for the post - I am going to write a little bit about everything...so enjoy!
It snowed yesterday! I am actually going to get a White Christmas this year! I won't complain about the 3 hours I spent in the car yesterday... Sorry for the yellow tint - I swear it was my iPhone camera - not a bunch of dogs! :)
Hopefully my car will make it through the winter - I'm sure she is pretty traumatized - but I think she'll get through it.
My mom sent up a bunch of Christmas decoration in the mail - Paul reluctantly let me decorate his place...and I think he is happy we did! ...a post will follow on this!
This year was my first attendance at the Annual Lashway Gingerbread House decorating party - so much fun - however I had a candy crash that night...one M&M would make it onto my house and the next would make it into my mouth...and that was pretty much my routine for each little piece of decoration...and I also tried the icing...naturally, I liked it.
For the SEC Championship game we threw a small tailgate! :) My mom sent me a bunch of Auburn gear/decorations in the mail. I didn't use all of it for the SEC championship game - but you can be sure I will for the NATIONAL championship game!
We rented out a space at Game On - a bar in Fenway. We are renting it out again for the National Championship game - feel free to show up if you are an Auburn fan in the Boston area. WAR EAGLE!
So there it is - my little recap!
This post wound up being pretty long and wasn't so bad to write...like most things...it's just taking the first little step. I will be back on here tomorrow with a post on Christmas Decorations - be sure to tune in - but I won't mind if you don't - because this little hobby is just.for.me! haha kiddingggg - I always write with all of you in mind - it wouldn't be a female hobby if I didn't!
