We attended a wedding in Chittenden, VT two weeks ago and I fell in love. We were right in the middle of mountains with a natural lake to boot. It made me feel like I was right back in North GA. I mentioned to Paul that this could be a place I could raise a family - but then he reminded me that we were in Vermont and they have feet of snow covering the ground 6 months out of the year. hmm.
We woke up early on Saturday morning and jumped in a kayak - it was right before the wind picked up so the water was like glass. We went on a stroll afterwards in the woods and found a bunch of natural creeks. I loved it!
Northern Rednecks - camo and all :)

Wedding details - the ceremony was naturally beautiful.
We also stopped in a little town, Woodstock, VT, on our drive to Boston on Sunday. We had iced coffee's, found the town butcher, and even dipped our feet in another natural creek. So refreshing.
I have now spent weekends in Chittenden, VT; Portsmouth, NH; Newport, RI...and I obvi spent a lot of time exploring MA. I have Maine and Connecticut left to discover and I will have officially experienced New England. :)
