First - Happy Birthday to my husband Paul!! I've highlighted him plenty on the blog - so no special post for him today - I'm sure he is grateful. One way I did make his birthday better was....saving money!
I get bored with our decor pretty quickly, so one way to combat spending a whole lot on updates is to just add some new colors in the mix and rearrange what I already have. Some popular ways to update a room are to paint (in the plans), rearrange furniture (tried that) and rearrange accessories (my fav). as you've seen here.
I have yet to give in to the urge of installing the TV above the fireplace. It makes sense, it balances out the room, but I just can't give up one of my favorite spaces to decorate.
